Nicky Crawford is a Director and the Head of Environmental, Social and Governance-Impact (ESG I) at British International Investment. Based in London, she is responsible for a team of 30 ESG professionals who ensure that BII’s Policy on Responsible Investing is well understood and working effectively across our pipeline and portfolio. Previously, Nicky worked for PwC where she was a Director in their Sustainability and Climate Change team focusing on ESG in Private Equity and Venture Capital. Prior to that she spent 18 years at ERM, the last 6 years as a Partner leading the firm’s work in the power sector in Africa, and also as the London Office Head. Nicky is a member of the Gibraltar Climate Change Committee and previously sat on the Responsible Investment Advisory Group of The British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA), and Responsible Investment Roundtable of Invest Europe. Nicky holds a BSc in Chemical Process Engineering from University of Sheffield and an MSc in Integrated Pollution Control from Middlesex University.
